In the energy business, ‘downstream’ is the term commonly used to refer to the refining, selling and distribution of products

derived from crude oil. COGE has great plans for development of the downstream process. Our downstream operations will be refining, transporting and selling crude oil and petroleum products in many countries.
Crude oil contains different types of hydrocarbons. The refining process separates the hydrocarbons and producers different kinds of fuels and lubricants. Hydrocarbon “chains” have different vaporization temperatures. During the refinement process, crude oil is heated to varying degrees, which separates the chains, allowing the extraction of petroleum gas, gasoline, kerosene, and other energy resources from the crude oil.
COGE will owns – wholly or in part – two refineries. COGE’s share of processing capacity in these refineries will reach in the millions of barrels per day (BPD). Of these, two refineries are going to be in Yemen, which will be producing up to 100,000 BPD. COGE is planning on building other refineries in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, as well as in the United States.
